GoldArc wraps up first phase of grade control drilling

GoldArc Resources (ASX:GA8) has finished the first phase of grade control drilling at the Mt Stirling Gold Project in Western Australia, with assay results continuing to show ‘wide’ zones of gold mineralisation.

Notable intercepts from the eastern sector include 21m @ 2.36 grams per tonne gold from 7m and 16m @ 2.13g/t gold from 1m, including 2m @ 6.05g/t gold.

Further results returned 16m @ 2.35g/t gold from 13m, including 2m @ 6.88g/t gold.

This grade control dataset feeds directly into updated mining models and mine planning ahead of the anticipated approval of the mining and development closure plan.

Managing Director Paul Stephen says completing the first phase represents an “important milestone” for the project.

“Results like 21m at 2.36g/t gold and 16m at 2.35g/t gold, including higher-grade zones within them, continue to support the geological model we’ve built across these rounds,” Stephen says.

The company reports it has completed 21,597m of the 34,000m reverse circulation program, which is fully funded by BML Ventures under a 50/50 net profit share agreement.

GoldArc is now shifting its attention to the adjacent Mt Stirling Well deposit, where it has completed 20 additional holes for 480m, with assays reinforcing near-surface gold mineralisation.

Top intercepts include 1m @ 6.06g/t gold from 18m and 1m @ 3.12g/t gold from 22m.

GoldArc Resources is a mineral explorer with a portfolio of gold projects in the Leonora and Kookynie districts of the Eastern Goldfields. It is focused on developing its 100%-owned Mt Stirling and Mt Stirling Well gold deposits in Western Australia.
