GoldArc Resources (ASX:GA8) has reported a 106 grams per tonne gold intercept from grade control drilling at the Mt Stirling Gold Deposit in Western Australia.
The company announced results from 141 holes for 4,021m completed across the eastern sector, central sector, and shallow infill areas, with the standout result of 1m at 106.00g/t gold from 8m in hole BMLRC767 being the ‘highest individual grade’ in the program to date.
Other significant intercepts include 3m @ 5.99g/t (including 1m @ 14.00g/t), 1m @ 13.70g/t, and 2m @ 7.00g/t (including 1m @ 13.50g/t). Wider intercepts include 13m @ 2.33g/t from surface, including 6.78g/t and 7.87g/t; and 18m @ 1.42g/t from 4m, including 1m @ 6.13g/t.
The 34,000m grade control program is fully funded by BML Ventures under a 50/50 profit share arrangement, with GoldArc retaining 100% ownership of Mt Stirling.
As previously reported by Mining.com.au, GoldArc recently raised $7.2 million to accelerate drilling across its broader Leonora North and South projects, which include the Mt Stirling deposit.
The company has completed approximately 17,080m (more than 50% of the total), with further assay batches in progress.
Managing Director Paul Stephen said the result confirms the presence of “very high‑grade” gold shoots within the Mt Stirling system.
“A result of 106g/t gold is exceptional by any measure … [confirming] the presence of very-high grade gold shoots within the Mt Stirling system and is the strongest individual intercept we’ve seen across the entire grade control program,” Stephen says.
The grade control data will feed directly into the mine plan, advancing Mt Stirling toward potential open‑pit development under the BMLV partnership.
GoldArc Resources is a Western Australian-focused mineral exploration company with a portfolio of gold projects in the Leonora and Kookynie districts.
