Godolphin Resources (ASX:GRL) has uncovered ‘high-grade’ copper in rock chips gathered from widespread historic workings at the Cyclops and Goodrich prospects within its Yeoval Project in New South Wales.
The results demonstrate ‘high-grade’ copper with ‘strong’ gold, silver, lead, and zinc, and confirm the extent and tenor of mineralisation at the Cyclops prospect.
Godolphin notes further rock chips gathered from the Goodrich prospect also returned ‘high-grade’ copper including ‘high-grade’ molybdenum and further elevated gold, silver, lead, and zinc. Results from Goodrich also indicate the nature and tenor of the mineralisation style of the prospect.
The company also reports samples GRR0370 and GRR0371 (Cyclops prospect) were gathered from areas which have had little or no historic drilling, providing a considerable drill target opportunity for Godolphin.
Key results include, sample GRR0370 with 3.87% copper (Cu), 0.31g/t gold (Au), 20.7g/t silver (Ag) and 210 parts per million molybdenum (Mo); sample GRR0371 with 4.51% Cu, 11.2g/t Ag, 342ppm Mo and 1270ppm zinc (Zn); and sample GRR0366 with 1.54% Cu, 0.15g/t Au and 7.67g/t Ag.
Rock chip sampling of historic workings was conducted at both prospects to determine the tenor of copper, gold, and molybdenum, as well as other metals associated with mineralisation and structural trends in the metal-rich Naringla Granodiorite.

The ongoing exploration across these copper targets is essential to provide the best quality data for the definition of drill targets at both prospects.

Godolphin Resources also notes it has completed ‘high resolution’ ground magnetic surveys across the Cyclops, Yeoval East, and Goodrich prospects. These surveys are reported to have assisted with the definition of drill targets for an upcoming ‘comprehensive’ drilling program.
In addition, drilling is expected to be supported by a recently secured NSW New Frontiers Drilling Grant funding.
With results from rock chip sampling now received, Godolphin Resources announces infill soil sampling programs are currently ongoing across both the Goodrich and Yeoval East prospects ahead of a ‘comprehensive’ drill program which is scheduled to be undertaken across both prospects, as well as the Cyclops prospect.
Soil sampling is expected to be completed before the end of Q2 2023.
