Godolphin Resources (ASX:GRL) reports that it has started a diamond drilling (DD) operation at its Narraburra Rare Earth Project in New South Wales.
The DD program, comprising 25 drillholes, will test resource potential at depth and provide additional samples for metallurgical testwork to aid in providing the basis for an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) to JORC 2012 standards.
Current drilling is expected to be completed by late October this year.
Addressing the drilling program, Godolphin Managing Director Jeneta Owens commented: “This 25-hole program will comprise 1,500m of diamond core drilling and form the basis of the proposed JORC 2012 resource for the Narraburra Rare Earth Project.

The company will also target specific areas of interest from the August 2022 campaign, which are currently being assayed and will be reported shortly.”
The company also notes that the recently commenced DD campaign follows a maiden drilling campaign completed in August, which was designed to obtain material for bench-scale metallurgical testwork and confirmatory assays for holes drilled in previously located mineralisation.
Initial pXRF Results taken from the August drilling campaign indicated that rare earth element (REE) mineralisation is likely present in underlying fresh rock, which is an area that was not previously tested by historical drilling.
Assays from the August DD campaign are expected to be announced shortly.
