Germanium Mining (CSE:GMC) has joined the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) – which provides access to defence-focused industry forums, policy discussions, technical working groups, and networking opportunities relevant to critical minerals.
The NDIA is an organisation that supports collaboration across industry, government, and academia to strengthen US national security and the defence industrial base. NDIA comprises 1,700 corporate and 66,500 individual members, formed from a merger between the American Defense Preparedness Association and the National Security Industrial Association.
Through Germanium Mining’s participation, the company aims to remain informed on evolving defence requirements, regulatory considerations, and partnership opportunities that support the development of a resilient and secure US.
CEO Mario Pezzente says the company is looking forward to engaging with NDIA’s membership and contributing to discussions that support secure and sustainable access to strategic materials.
“Our exploration team has been dispatched to the historical Azure Ridge Mine in Nevada, US, and we will be providing an exploration update shortly,” Pezzente says.
The Azure Ridge Mine, formerly known as the Bonelli Mine, last reported production in 1918.
Germanium Mining recently engaged veteran geologist William Feyerabend for a planned field exploration and reconnaissance program at Azure Ridge, as reported by Mining.com.au. The program is designed to support geological advancements on the project’s critical mineral potential – focusing on germanium and gallium.
The company is also continuing to work with Amazona on preparing a planned technical report and technical overview of the historical mine. The work will include a review of available historical information, regional and property scale geological context, and the results of planned field activities, with an emphasis on evaluating the project’s potential relevance within the North American critical minerals supply chain.
