Galan Lithium (ASX:GLN) reports ‘excellent’ results following a long term pumping test and other exploration activities at its 100% owned Hombre Muerto West Lithium Project in Argentina.
The ‘high-grade’ results, generated by a 30-day long pumping test at the first Pata Pila well (PPB-01-21), has returned solid pumping rates ranging between 17 and 20 L/s and an average Li grade of 874mg/L from 150 brine samples collected during the testing phase.
These strong outcomes deliver potential for higher production capacity parameters for the current Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) inputs.

We have demonstrated a high production capacity with the completion of the first long-term pumping test at Pata Pila, as well as extending the reservoir quality throughout the main alluvial deposits on our tenements with the latest exploration well intercepts.
These outcomes provide further validation of the world-class nature of the HMW Project and its planned development.”
The company also notes that it has successfully completed a 72-hour constant rate and recovery test at the first pumping well at Rana de Sal (PBRS-01-21), which was executed at steady 20L/s and returned an average Li grade over 945mg/L.
In addition, two recently conducted diamond drilling (DD) exploration wells at Rana de Sal have returned thick sedimentary intersections with high Li grades of 942-1,035mg/L.
Another exploration drillhole conducted at Casa del Inca was completed at 155 metres with intervals of high porosity potential sediments underlying surface lava flows.
The Hombre Muerto West Lithium Project is located on the west coast of Hombre Muerto within Argentina’s Catamarca Province and covers a ~14km by 1-5km region comprising seven concessions, including the Pata Pila and Rana de Sal deposits.
The Pata Pila and Rana de Sal concessions currently boasts a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 2.3Mt of LCE with exploration upside for the remaining concessions not included in the current indicated resource model.
Galan Lithium announces that exploration drilling continues at the Hombre Muerto West Lithium Project and will move forward with a pumping test program with a 30-day pumping test at the PBRS-01-21 well, as well as a hydraulic testing of the second Pata Pila well.
