Forrestania Resources (ASX:FRS) has appointed Karen Wellman as an independent non-executive director to strengthen its board as it pursues its dual processing hub strategy at Edna May and Lake Johnston in Western Australia.
Wellman brings over 20 years of experience across exploration, resource development, and operations in Australia and internationally. She currently serves as managing director and chief executive of Dynamic Metals (ASX:DYM).
Executive Chairman David Geraghty says Wellman’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to securing the necessary oversight and technical capability for its next growth phase.
“On behalf of the board, I am delighted to welcome Karen as an independent non-executive director of Forrestania,” Geraghty says.
“Karen brings an exceptional combination of technical, operational, and executive leadership experience, together with a strong track record of creating value across the mining sector.”
Leveraging its processing hubs in Edna May and Lake Johnston, Forrestania aims to transform from an explorer into a gold producer.
Forrestania Resources is focused on building a Western Australian gold business through exploration and acquisitions.
