Australian space exploration company Fleet Space Technologies is acquiring global provider of active seismic exploration technology HiSeis, which will strengthen its end-to-end exploration services.
HeSeis specialises in hard rock seismic technology, which offers high-resolution subsurface imaging that supports identifying mineral deposits.
The company says the acquisition will pioneer the integration of passive and active seismic methodologies to enhance subsurface characterisation, improve drill targeting accuracy, as well as drive faster, more sustainable exploration outcomes globally.
With the integration of HiSeis’ advanced seismic solutions, Fleet Space’s exploration platform ExoSphere will expedite the acquisition and processing of high-quality passive and active seismic datasets into AI-enabled insights worldwide.
Fleet Space says by adding HiSeis data acquisition methods into the ExoSphere platform — combining Fleet Space’s satellite network, patented smart sensors, and proprietary multimodal AI models — HiSeis’ hard rock seismic data will be rapidly processed, standardised, and integrated with multiphysics datasets.

In turn, the company says this will enhance 3D understanding of mineral systems and data-driven drill targeting while reducing environmental impact at scale.
Fleet Space cofounder and CEO Flavia Tata Nardini says the acquisition marks a transformative leap into the future of data-driven exploration.
“To unlock the potential of real-time exploration and AI, we must consolidate, standardise, and integrate high-quality datasets to maximise the predictive capabilities of frontier AI systems,” Nardini says.
In conjunction, Fleet Space is also constructing its new global headquarters and hyper factor for next-gen space and climate technologies — GHQ — at the Adelaide Airport.
Fleet Space says the state-of-the-art facility will enable the company to expedite the production of its pioneering space technologies and scale its end-to-end exploration platform, powered by ExoSphere.
The new headquarters will feature advanced manufacturing and data centre technologies, enabling production capacity for thousands of patented smart sensors and hundreds of satellites per year, with room to create hundreds of jobs in South Australia.
GHQ will also form the basis for Fleet Space’s AI supercomputer ExoCore.
Chief Exploration Officer Matt Pearson says GHQ is the forerunner for the next-gen manufacturing model needed to unlock and scale the space, climate, and AI-powered technologies needed for the net zero transition.
In October 2024, Fleet Space signed an expanded partnership with Kincora Copper (ASX:KCC), in which the company agreed to a strategic investment as part of a $1.27 million capital raising.
The company agreed to conduct multiphysics surveys at the Wongardon Project to identify and refine targets, and has the right to earn a 20% stake by drilling at least 2,000m. If Fleet Space decides to drill a joint venture will be formed between both companies.
During October last year, Fleet Space also agreed to advance exploration at mining giant Rio Tinto’s (ASX:RIO) Rincon Lithium Project in Argentina.
Rio Tinto used Fleet Space’s Exosphere technology to develop 3D subsurface maps of the reservoir, basement depth, and brine influencing structures across 100km2 of the project’s salt flat and nearby subvolcanic structures.
