First production begins at Green360’s Eco-Clay Project

Green360 Technologies (ASX:GT3) has completed its first commercial production of Eco-Clay with project partner Calix (ASX:CXL).

The first 150 tonnes of Eco-Clay was made in a single continuous production run, and a total of 600 tonnes was manufactured at the time of writing.

Eco-Clay is produced from tailings, settlement pond residues, and other kaolin by-products. The low-carbon cement replacement product is a high-reactivity calcined kaolinite (metakaolin) material that is promised to replace up to 40% of Portland cement in concrete.

Eco-Clay is touted to significantly reduce carbon emissions while maintaining high performance. The product has been distributed to industry participants for customer-led commercial-scale field validation at major infrastructure projects.

Green360 and Calix will together produce up to 30,000 tonnes per annum of Eco-Clay under a binding toll treatment agreement. The product is expected to be commercialised in Victoria during the first half of 2026.

“This production represents an important milestone in the commercialisation of Eco-Clay with the successful completion of the first continuous production run completed over multiple days,” Executive Chairman Aaron Banks says.

“Ongoing identification of efficiencies at increased scale provides confidence in the product’s commercial viability.”

Green360 Technologies develops low-cost and low-carbon cement from tailings, settlement pond residues, and other kaolin by-products.

Calix is an environmental technology company that aims to solve global challenges.
