First Graphene (ASX:FGR) has shipped its first order of graphene enhanced thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), marking 20% of its supply agreement with Alasmas Berkat Utama to be completed.
The company fulfilled and shipped an order of 500kg of PureGRAPH 10 Masterbatch for the production of the KRUSHERS work boot range in Indonesia, following production completion by Duromer Products last week.
Another two tonnes of the product is intended to be manufactured for the commercial partnership with Alasmas.
First Graphene anticipates its product to be infiltrated into other work and safety boot ranges to strengthen workplace safety in harsh conditions such as the mining and construction sectors.
CEO Michael Bell says this agreement demonstrates the capability of its PureGRAPH product to be integrated into “common, everyday TPU-based products at scale, using existing processing and production technologies”.
“For industries using TPUs in the manufacture of their products, this success story de-risks use of our graphene additives and enables greater adoption at larger scale, without trial or pilot barriers,” Bell says.
First Graphene is a developer and supplier of graphitic materials and product formulations with a specific commercial focus on global markets including cement and concrete.
