Perth-based explorer Fin Resources (ASX:FIN) has executed a services agreement with geological consulting firm Mercator Geological Services to provide field support at its Mt Tremblant Lithium Properties in Quebec, Canada.
The company reports a desktop review of historical exploration data across the properties has identified several targets that require immediate follow-up fieldwork.

At the Ross Project, several coarse-grained pegmatites have been mapped, while a ‘significant’ number of exploration targets interpreted to be lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites have been mapped across the Cancet West Project. At the Gaspe Project, a historical government sampling program returned ‘extremely’ elevated stream sediment lithium up to 342 parts per million (ppm) Li2O.
Fin reports it will finalise a fieldwork program with Mercator before the field season starts in Q3 2023. However, it is proposed that multiple helicopter-supported programs be completed to field-truth already-defined exploration targets alongside initial surface sampling and structural outcrop mapping.
Additionally, Mercator will complete a prospectivity analysis to consider the geological setting, mineralisation styles, structural setting, and intrusions that control mineralisation, along with identifying exploration targets on the tenements.
The company says a multi-phased approach begins with a property-wide compilation of all available geoscience data, including available digital data files from publicly available government and industry files available online.

Mercator Geological Services is a Canadian geological consulting firm that specialises in mineral project management, mineral deposit modelling, mineral resource estimation, NI 43-101 technical reporting, data analytics, and exploration surveys.
Fin Resources is a Perth-based explorer focused on developing its Sol Mar Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Along with Sol Mar, the company also holds the McKenzie Springs Project in Western Australia and the Mt Tremblant Properties in Quebec, Canada.
The Mt Tremblant Lithium Properties comprise the Cancet West, Ross, and Gaspe Lithium projects, which collectively cover 130km-square in the James Bay region of Quebec.
