EVZ secures major energy and resources contracts

Engineering services provider EVZ (ASX:EVZ) has secured two contracts in the energy and resources sector valued at $28.5 million through its wholly owned subsidiary Brockman.

At the Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery Project in Western Australia, owned by Iluka Resources (ASX:ILU), Brockman Engineering in conjunction with Tank Industries have been awarded a package of five bulk storage tanks that will form part of the new Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery Project.

Once completed, the refinery will be Australia’s first fully integrated rare earths refinery — which is a key component in Australia’s critical minerals strategy.

EVZ, which has a market capitalisation of $18.2 million, says the Iluka works will begin immediately on the design and fabrication of the storage tanks with a scheduled mobilisation to site in Q3 2025.

The work is expected to be completed in H1 2026.

Meanwhile, Brockman has also been awarded the contract for engineering and construction of the next stage of the Hastings Terminal Expansion for United Terminals.

The project work includes adding two new bulk fuel storage tanks, civil groundworks, and associated balance of plant works.

The work will begin on the design and fabrication of the tanks in Q1 2025, with anticipated work completion in Q3 2026.

CEO Scott Farthing says businesses in the energy and resources sectors expand their presence and grow their backlog for the upcoming periods.

“These project successes place our business amongst the top innovative providers in their industry and provide a firm base from which to grow revenues and profits as our market sector focused strategic plan evolves,” Farthing says.

EVZ is an Australian provider of technical services in the energy and resources and building products sectors.
