Everest Metals (ASX:EMC) has announced new assay results from the phase two resource upgrade and expansion drilling program at the Mt Edon Critical Mineral Project in Western Australia.
The results come from diamond drilling and slimline reverse circulation (RC) holes and complement the ‘high-grade’ RC intercepts that were reported on 28 November 2025, reinforcing the continuity of thick, near-surface rubidium mineralisation.
The company notes that phase two of the drilling program delivered consistent ‘high-grade’ zones, including intercepts exceeding 0.30% rubidium oxide, with a peak assay of up to 0.67% rubidium oxide.
Key intersections include 35m @ 0.32% rubidium oxide from 36m, including 16m @ 0.41% rubidium oxide from 43m; and 71m @ 0.25% rubidium oxide from surface including 20m @ 0.34% rubidium oxide from 3m.
The company has also completed the Kick-Start collaborative project with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) which was designed to quantify the mineralogical deportment of rubidium in the Mt Edon pegmatite system and evaluate the implications for both resource definition and downstream processing.
The project supports the development of a refined geometallurgical model which will help to drive processing optimisation and recovery.
CEO Mark Caruso says that the drill results are incredibly consistent and reinforce “the high-grade nature of the rubidium mineralisation at Mt Edon”.
“Results from the ongoing CSIRO rubidium characterisation program are delivering valuable mineralogical and geometallurgical insights that will be used to refine ore beneficiation testwork,” Caruso says.
“Together, these outcomes are expected to drive improvements in processing efficiency and rubidium recovery rates. With additional metallurgical studies, recovery optimisation, and broader project evaluation activities now well advanced, the project continues to build momentum toward development.”
The company is currently focused on a resource upgrade now, integrating all of the phase two drilling data.
Everest Metals is a resource exploration company focused on gold, silver, base metals, and critical minerals with projects in Western Australia.
