Eureka Metals Corp (CSE:ERKA) has submitted exploration permit applications for an induced polarisation (IP) survey and diamond drilling at its Cabin Lake Project in British Columbia.
The applications support the next phase of exploration at the 100%-optioned project, aiming to generate and drill test ‘high-priority’ targets.
A recent National Instrument 43-101 technical report recommended a property-wide IP survey to identify anomalies associated with sulphide mineralisation, followed by diamond drilling.
CEO Danny Matthews says the submission marks a “significant milestone” for the project.
“These applications are an important step toward executing the exploration strategy outlined in our recently completed NI 43-101 technical report,” Matthews says.
“Historical exploration at Cabin Lake has consistently demonstrated the presence of silver, lead, zinc and gold mineralisation across multiple target areas, yet much of the property remains largely untested using modern exploration techniques.”
The company notes a 2025 trenching program by wholly owned subsidiary Stairway Mining confirmed polymetallic mineralisation, strengthening priority targets for exploration.
Eureka is currently focusing its field program on geological evaluation, target refinement, and exploration planning to prioritise future drilling.
The Cabin Lake Project comprises seven contiguous mineral claims covering an estimated 2,364 hectares, located 145km west of Prince George in central British Columbia.
Historical exploration spanning nearly six decades has identified multiple silver-lead-zinc-gold occurrences across the property, including the West, Central, East, Lower East, and Bluff zones.
Notable historical results include drill intercepts of 0.6m @ 2,463 grams per tonne silver and 8.6% zinc. Assays from the West zone returned up to 1,108g/t silver, 3.11g/t gold, 27% lead, and 13.6% zinc.
Surface sampling at the Central zone returned up to 322g/t silver, 2.48g/t gold, 3.98% lead, and 5.96% zinc, while East zone surface samples yielded up to 207g/t silver and 1.81g/t gold.
The company intends to advance the permitting process while simultaneously completing geological and targeting work throughout the 2026 exploration season.
Eureka Metals is a mineral explorer focused on the acquisition and advancement of projects in Canada.
