Additionally, Equinox reports it is progressing with baseline environmental studies with environmental consultancy Umwelt. The company says it has completed desktop assessments for flora and vegetation, terrestrial fauna, and subterranean fauna over key areas at Hamersley in line with environmental impact assessment (EIA) guidelines.
The company also says it will be completing due diligence with respect to traditional landowners before starting its next phase of environmental assessment field surveys. These assessments are expected to be completed in the next 12-18 months and will provide an important understanding of the environmental permit process and key activities required to progress the potential development of Hamersley.
