Clean technology company EnviroGold Global (CSE:NVRO) is pivoting its strategy to capitalise on the multi-trillion-dollar tailings and unrecovered metals market.
Speaking to Mining.com.au on the sidelines of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, COO Royston Denysschen says while tailings remains 100% of its focus, the company has a pipeline of additional solutions it is developing.
“Our technical team is now starting to cast its mind to understanding how applying our process in the primary flowsheets can make a difference in order to prevent the high level of metals going into tailings today and also the environmental risk footprint that tailings currently exhibit,” the COO says.
“An additional point is that one of the modern methods that miners are using to reduce tailings above ground is they use their currently arising tailings as pasteful to backfill their underground excavations.
“That’s a great solution. But one of the things they’re doing is they’re putting value underground that will never be recovered. There’s also an opportunity for us to tag on to the back of existing flowsheets, existing operations, to prevent that value from going underground in the first place.”
As Denysschen explains to this news service, EnviroGold is not reinventing the rule of the process as it’s literally a third generation add-on. There are processes that have components of what the company provides that can “stack and sequence them in a way that is far more effective and economic” without extra capital cost, environmental risk, and carbon footprint that other processes have.
EnviroGold currently has 22 patents and two pending regarding this technology. In the coming 12 months, the company expects to be announcing its first project in development, as well as three regional testing facilities globally. These testing facilities in North America, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia are designed to grow the pipeline and to deliver the projects for development.
“There will be an element of staging, but we’ve designed a micro plant, which is a pilot plant of our process, and those micro plants will be positioned in the testing facilities,” the COO says.
“What that allows us to do is actually accelerate the Feasibility Study portion and deliver all of the material that goes into final engineering. With that, we’re able to condense your typical final investment decision process from what could be three to five or more years down to 12 months.”

‘Highly profitable revenue streams’
EnviroGold’s patented technology converts mine tailings into highly profitable revenue streams, offering sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions to miners and governments worldwide.
With more than 32,000 Tailings Storage Facilities worldwide containing more than US$3.4 trillion of unrecovered metals, the company licenses its intellectual property, which the COO notes provides a multi-billion-dollar opportunity for EnviroGold.
Denysschen says the multi-trillion-dollar opportunity of unrecovered metals for EnviroGold is split in the mineral types that its process can recover.
“We’re very focused on sulphide materials. I would think around 50% to 60% sits in sulphides, which have traditionally been difficult to recover,” he tells Mining.com.au.
“The challenge is finding the critical mass in tailings. There’s pockets where there’s large volumes which can justify the economics, and there’s pockets where there’s smaller tailings pockets.
“We’re very focused on those high potential areas where we can also actually make a high impact on the environmental aspects.”
For retail investors, Denysschen says the critical mass is in the minerals where there’s a lot of processing in order to extract the material out of the ground. For example, there’s not a lot of tailings for iron ore or for nickel or copper extraction.
Disciplined execution
The company reported a year of disciplined execution in 2025, advancing its proprietary NVRO Process from optimisation into engineering readiness, while materially strengthening its balance sheet and positioning the business for commercial licensing and recurring revenue growth.
During 2025, EnviroGold focused on converting technology development into commercial capability by validating performance at industrial scale, materially improving project economics, strengthening intellectual property, retiring legacy debt, and aligning leadership and strategic partnerships to support global deployment.
As a result, it enters 2026 positioned to transition toward long-term commercial licensing and value accretion.
EnviroGold Global was founded by a team of metallurgists, entrepreneurs, and environmentalists passionate about closing the loop on resource extraction. It partners with mining companies to deploy its technology in operating mines and waste stockpiles to vastly increase resource recovery, aiming to neutralise hazardous material, lengthen mine life, increase economic feasibility, and reduce liabilities and adverse environmental effects.
