Mining services company Durock Drilling has joined the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) as a new associate member.
Durock provides drilling services throughout Australia and with an operational team of drillers and offsiders supported by professionals in health and safety, maintenance planning and scheduling, as well as administration and accounts.
Managing Director Brock Dunlop has more than 12 years of experience providing drilling services throughout Australia. In 2020, Durock took over Cobar-based, Budd Exploration Drilling to bring the rig fleet up to 18.
AMEC is a national association representing more than 500 member companies from all around Australia.
Its members are explorers, emerging miners, producers and a wide range of businesses and service providers.
AMEC works to reduce the cost of doing business, reduce regulatory obstacles, and to support an increase in exploration, discovery and mining opportunities in Australia.
The association has continued to grow and expand its advocacy, representation and member support and services in 2024 and now has the largest membership in its history with some 580 members.
