Duke Exploration (ASX: DEX) has announced ‘encouraging, high-grade’ intercepts at the Quorn and Isens deposits within its Bundarra Project in Queensland following recent drilling.
The results generated from the first two of five diamond drill holes at Quorn and Isens, as well as various RC holes, include individual grades of up to 56.7g/t, with important hits from Quorn including:
- Diamond Hole BNDD001:
- 15.4m @ 1.07% Cu, 9.52g/t Ag from 32m
- 22.35m @ 0.71% Cu, 23.11g/t Ag from 85.3m; including
- 3.1m @ 1.77% Cu, 56.7g/t Ag from 93m
- RC Hole QNRC001:
- 4.0m @ 2.66% Cu, 4.51g/t Ag and 0.54g/t Au from 199.0m
- RC Hole QNRC002:
- 11.0m @ 1.04% Cu, 14.70g/t Ag and 0.07g/t Au from 122.0m
- RC Hole QNRC002:
- 27.0m @ 0.58% Cu, 14.86g/t Ag and 0.05g/t Au from 26.0m
- RC Hole QNRC004:
- 5.0m @ 0.28% Cu, 6.24g/t and 0.01g/t Au from 41.0m
The diamond hole at Isens, which was terminated early due to poor ground conditions, also intersected significant zones of copper mineralisation, reporting:
- Diamond Hole BNDD002:
- 3.73m @ 0.46% Cu, 4.26g/t Ag from 38.94m
- 6m @ 1.04% Cu, 9.34g/t Ag from 109m; including
- 3.7m @ 2.06% Cu, 13.95g/t from 110.66m
Speaking on the results, Duke Exploration Managing Director Philip Condon said: “These assay results are highly encouraging in multiple ways. The thickness and grade of the intercepts are significant in themselves, the confirmation of our targeting model allowing further enhanced mineralised prospect identification accuracy, and a deeper understanding of the complex geology in the mineralised zones complementing our prospect targeting and prioritisation.
“It’s the early days yet but it looks like we might have a very exciting few months ahead of us”
With the follow up 46 – hole RC drilling campaign currently underway, these mineralised targets will be further tested for scale along with the other recently announced primary targets. It’s the early days yet but it looks like we might have a very exciting few months ahead of us.”
The purpose of this five-hole drill program was to test the composition of mineralised zones and to test the exploration model that the company has developed in order to identify potential mineralised prospects suitable for further drill work.
Duke notes that these results confirm its investigations as to whether there were any lithological and geometric relationships between copper and silver mineralisation within the Quorn Breccia (BNDD001) and the Isens historic mine lode (BNDD002).

With the five-hole drill campaign complete at Quorn and Isens, Duke has stated that it is awaiting the completion of its 46 RC drill campaign to further test the scale of these ‘significant’ mineralised zones.
