DLP Resources (TSX-V:DLP) has reported a polymetallic vein discovery at its Esperanza Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Project in southern Peru.
Rock chip sampling returned 550 grams per tonne silver (Ag), 4.548% copper (Cu), and 141.43 parts per million molybdenum.
The sample came from a single polymetallic vein exposure measuring 0.1m by 7m, representing the ‘highest-grade’ silver value returned at Esperanza to date. It was the first vein sampled in a corridor 6.5km northeast of the main target.
The 94-sample program also returned 7.795g/t gold (Au) with 27.7g/t Ag and 0.780% Cu, plus 2.353g/t Au and 2.099g/t Au from separate vein samples.
CEO Ian Gendall says the results ‘demonstrate the scale’ of the mineralised system at Esperanza.
“A 550 g/t Ag vein with 4.5% copper, from the very first vein we sampled in a corridor 6.5km from our main target, tells you a lot about the scale of the system we are working with at Esperanza,” Gendall says.
The sampling has defined two new priority target areas beyond the previously identified 5km by 2.5km magnetic anomaly.
Esperanza East covers approximately 1km2, while the Northeast Vein Corridor features multiple polymetallic veins spaced 50–100m apart.
Copper mineralisation at surface shows widespread distribution, with 21 of 55 select samples returning greater than 1% Cu and twelve samples exceeding 2% Cu.
DLP Resources is advancing permitting for a maiden 3,000m diamond drill program expected in Q3 2026.
