Macmahon (ASX:MAH) subsidiary Decmil has been awarded a $50 million contract to deliver the Ison Road Extension by the State of Victoria through Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV).
The project is set to begin in early 2025 and complete in 2026.
The project adds to Macmahon’s secured order book and follows Decmil having previously been awarded the $78 million Ison Road Overpass contract by the same client which will complete this year.
The Ison Road Extension will connect with the Ison Road Overpass, currently under construction by Decmil, to form the new freeway link between Melbourne and Geelong. The link will include a 1.3km four-lane road and cycling paths along the overpass and the extension.
Macmahon Managing Director Michael Finnegan says the contract comes as the company has built a strong relationship with the state government through the delivery of the Ison Road Overpass.
Macmahon is a diversified contractor with leading capabilities in surface and underground mining, civil construction and resources engineering
