Cygnus Metals (ASX:CY5) began trading on the OTCQB Venture Market on 14 February under the symbol CYGGF.
The company’s common shares will also continue trading on the ASX and TSX Venture Exchange.
Executive Chairman David Southam says given the strong copper outlook, it is considered an ideal time to trade on the OTCQB.
Since the start of this year three-month copper traded on the London Metal Exchange has risen over 8% to US$9,477 ($14,882) a tonne.
Southam says trading on the OTCQB will help make the company accessible to a growing range of US investors and further increase liquidity and visibility in North America.
“We have the potential to unlock substantial value with the high-grade resource already defined and the immense upside at the Chibougamau Copper-Gold Project,” he says.
“We have started an aggressive drilling and geophysics program focused on achieving strong resource growth and testing new targets at a time when the world desperately wants more copper from tier one locations.”
The OTCQB is recognised as an established public market by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. To be eligible, companies must be current in their financial reporting, pass a minimum bid price test, and undergo an annual company verification and detailed certification process.
Cygnus Metals is a diversified critical mineral explorer and developer focused on its portfolio of projects in Canada and Western Australia.
