Cyclone Metals (ASX: CLE) reports that it has recovered gold nuggets from its Nickol River Gold Project in the West Pilbara.
The discovery, which comes from a series of test pits undertaken at the project, includes individual nuggets up to 20.5 grams in weight, for a total of 76 grams.
Commenting on the news, Cyclone Metals Director Will Scott said: “It is very encouraging to find coarse gold in nugget form, from this single tenement at Nickol River, from below tertiary river gravel and on SAM identified structures.

The program of work at Nickol River had been approved in January 2022, covering 18 test pits measuring 20m x 10m x 1m across several tenements.

The company notes that the nugget discoveries appear to validate the interpreted structures, allowing it to move forward into a planned maiden drilling campaign.
