Critica searches for new Managing Director

Critica (ASX:CRI) has launched a recruitment drive following Managing Director Philippa Leggat’s decision to step down.

Leggat served on Critica’s board before being promoted to the lead role a year ago.

Critica believes Leggat has had a “significant and lasting impact”, having led the company to a maiden resource for its flagship Jupiter Project in February.

As Mining.com.au previously reported, the resource sits at 1.8 billion tonnes @ 1,700 parts per million (ppm) total rare earth oxide (TREO), including 500 million tonnes @ 2,200ppm TREO at a 1,800ppm cut-off grade.

The company also delivered its first set of metallurgical results for the project, which showed a grade increase of 830%, under Leggat’s leadership.

Chief Geologist and Exploration Manager Dr Stuart Owen will step up to the role of interim CEO while Critica looks for Leggat’s replacement. Owen has been with the company for the last 19 years.

Additionally, CFO and Secretary Jamie Byrde will be moving forward as an executive Director, effective from today (22 May).

Critica is an exploration company focused on developing its critical minerals deposits across Western Australia.
