Critica introduces CEO to Jupiter’s orbit

Critica (ASX:CRI) has appointed Jacob Deysel its new CEO from 15 July, as the company progresses its Jupiter Project towards a Scoping and Feasibility Study.

Deysel is a mining engineer with 25 years of resources experience who holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Witwatersrand, previously acting as CEO for Mineral Commodities (ASX:MRC).

Non-executive Chairman Tim Lindley says the company is pleased with its efforts to attract a new CEO with such experience and technical knowledge in the rare earths field as Deysel has.

“The company will greatly benefit from an experienced CEO with the technical skills, commercial acumen, key relationships, and specific rare earths experience, to rapidly advance Jupiter through Scoping and Feasibility Studies to reposition us from explorer to developer,” Lindley says.

Prioritising the advancement of its flagship critical minerals project in the Yalgoo precinct of Western Australia, the new CEO will also oversee a review of the company’s Tasmanian assets to meet the growing global supply chain demands for tin and tungsten.

Deysel says he is looking forward to working alongside the team to unlock the long-term value of Jupiter in the upcoming studies.

“I have undertaken extensive due diligence on Critica’s assets and believe Jupiter has the potential to become a globally significant rare earth project,” Deysel says.

“I’m energised by the vision and potential of Critica to become a key developer in the critical minerals sector, underpinned by a strong environmental, social, and governance focus.”

Critica is a rare earths explorer, looking to advance its assets to meet the global demand for minerals used in modern technology and the globe’s transition to green energy.
