Critica (ASX:CRI) is continuing to progress metallurgical testwork at the Jupiter Project in Western Australia, focusing on refining beneficiation processes to maximise grades and recoveries.
The company is also focused on producing beneficiated material suitable for leach testing and rare earth carbonate production. Additional work is also assessing the potential production of premium iron ore from the rare earths processing stream.
Critica’s latest beneficiation testwork has confirmed a “strong” foundation for more efficient downstream processing and transport economics, while also enhancing the potential for a low-cost, low-impact rare earth processing operation at Jupiter.
CEO Jacob Deysel says the latest results, as reported, delivered a 94.5% mass reduction – meaning only 5% of the original material proceeds to downstream hydrometallurgy.
“The reduction does not represent a loss of product; instead, it concentrates the rare earth value into a much smaller beneficiated stream,” Deysel says.
Further, all approvals have been received to begin drilling of key satellite prospects, Aurora and Juno, following completing a heritage survey.
Deysel notes with $4.2 million cash at hand, as of 30 June 2025, the company is well-positioned to progress the next stage of project definition at Jupiter and unlock further growth.
“This is not just a resource – it is a platform for building one of Australia’s most significant and sustainable sources of magnet rare earths,” the CEO says.
The Jupiter Project, is part of the broader Brothers Clay-Hosted Rare Earth Project which covers a 1,356km2 of granted tenure.
Critica is focused on exploring, advancing, and developing the project with a global inferred resource of 1.8 billion tonnes @ 1,700ppm including 520 million tonnes @ 2,200ppm TREO.
