Corazon bolsters board and management with technical expertise

Corazon Mining (ASX:CZN) has announced new board and management appointments to strengthen the company’s technical and financial positions

Warrick Clent has been appointed as non-executive Director, effective 5 May 2026. Clent brings over 30 years of exploration and executive leadership to the role, with experience in orogenic gold, porphyry copper-gold, nickel sulphide, and base metals across Asia Pacific, including Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia.

Clent served as Exploration Manager for Robust Resources, overseeing the reporting of a 1.18-million-ounce gold-equivalent JORC resource, and as Country and Exploration Manager for Geopacific Resources (ASX:GPR), working on the 1.5-million-ounce Woodlark Gold Project.

Most recently, Clent served as Managing Director of Connected Minerals (ASX:CML), leading corporate strategy, ASX compliance, capital raising, and investor relations.

Corazon notes that Clent’s appointment strengthens the board through his technical expertise to assess, advance, and capitalise on exploration and development opportunities for the company.

Managing Director Simon Coyle says that Clent brings “the kind of technical rigour and commercial judgment that a company at our stage needs around the board table”.

“As we advance exploration at Two Pools, and sharpen our view of the broader region, having a geologist of Warrick’s calibre involved in our decision-making will be genuinely valuable for shareholders.”

Corazon has also appointed Paul Hughes as CFO, effective immediately. Hughes is a Chartered Public Accountant with over 16 years of experience, the majority of which he spent in the construction and resources sectors.

Hughes has most recently served as CFO of several ASX-listed companies and as Principal of Corporate Planning and Investment Analysis with Pilbara Minerals (ASX:PLS).

Hughes will replace Robert Orr, who is retiring from the CFO position, but will remain on the board as Company Secretary.

Corazon Mining is an Australian mineral exploration and development company with a focus on high-grade gold exploration in Western Australia.
