Copper, gold, silver potential confirmed at iTech’s Reynolds Range

Junior exploration company iTech Minerals (ASX:ITM) has confirmed widespread potential of copper, gold, and silver at the Reynolds Range Project in the Northern Territory, via reconnaissance sampling. 

Mapping and sampling work, conducted alongside Managing Director Michael Schwarz and Director Gary Ferris, confirmed the potential of widespread copper, gold, and silver across the 70km of strike Lander Shear Zone, which is covered by the tenement package. 

Schwarz says after visiting Reynolds Range, there are several copper and gold prospects across the tenement and there is a greater appreciation for the widespread scale of mineralisation along the entire area. 

“It was very encouraging to see outcropping copper mineralisation at multiple locations and confirmation of the broader potential for large-scale mineralised systems,” he says. 

The $8.31 million market capitalisation company says outcropping copper mineralisation was identified and sampled at the Scimitar and Reward prospects, while the potential for coincident gold and silver was also revealed. 

Several outcropping low-sulphide gold style veins systems were discovered and sampled at the Sabre, Falchion, and Troutbeck prospects. 

The company says the potential for lithium mineralisation was also identified in the abundant pegmatite systems across the entire tenement package with samples taken from several tin bearing pegmatites at the Mt Stafford prospects. 

The latest trip undertaken at Reynolds Range was to field check prospects identified by previous explorers, confirm the scale of the regional mineralising systems and style of mineralisation, as well as sample outcropping mineralisation. 

Historically, gold was the primary element of interest, while copper and other base metals had very little exploration. 

The Reynolds Range Project comprises three exploration licences and covers 375km2 of the Aileron province, which is part of the Paleoproterozoic North Australian Craton.
