Chalice Mining (ASX:CHN) has appointed Tim Langmead as General Manager for Corporate Affairs to lead government relations ahead of its planned 2028 Final Investment Decision (FID).
Langmead will commence on 1 September 2026 in the newly created role, leading government relations, media, and stakeholder communications as the company advances the Gonneville Palladium-Nickel-Copper Project in Western Australia towards an FID in H1 2028.
He joins from Beach Energy (ASX:BPT), where he served as General Manager for Corporate Affairs.
In that role, Langmead led government relations, land access, community relations, Native Title and Aboriginal heritage, and media and communications across Australia and New Zealand.
He brings 18 years of senior‑level experience in government relations, approvals, and stakeholder engagement across major Australian resource projects.
Prior to Beach Energy, Langmead served as Director for Community, Environment, and Government at Fortescue (ASX:FMG).
At Fortescue, he led teams covering government relations, environmental approvals, Native Title, Aboriginal heritage, port strategy, and community development for multi-billion-dollar projects.
Earlier career positions included senior government and external affairs roles at INPEX Australia, Hess Australia, and APPEA, as well as serving as Senior Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia.
Managing Director Alex Dorsch says Langmead’s experience will be invaluable as Chalice navigates approvals and stakeholder engagement for the Gonneville Project.
“His experience at Fortescue and Beach Energy — where he managed large-scale, high-profile projects at the executive level — makes him ideally suited to help Chalice realise the full potential of our generational critical minerals asset,” Dorsch says.
Langmead says he is “excited to join Chalice at an important moment in the company’s development”.

Chalice Mining continues progressing Gonneville through Feasibility Studies and environmental approvals ahead of the planned FID in early 2028.
