Caprice kicks off multi-rig campaign at Island Gold

Caprice Resources (ASX:CRS) has commenced a large-scale, multi-rig drilling campaign for about 50,000 metres, mainly focused at its flagship Island Gold Project in the Murchison region of Western Australia.

Caprice notes that the drill program represents a “significant” step-change in the intensity of exploration and is focused on advancing the project toward a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) in addition to unlocking the broader potential of the region.

Recent drilling at Island Gold has confirmed the scale, continuity, and ‘high-grade’ nature of mineralisation at the Vadrians deposit, with the system at over 1,000m of strike, 400m depth, and open in multiple directions.

The newly launched campaign will comprise reverse circulation drilling, diamond drilling, and aircore drilling to extend the known mineralisation and target new parallel structures across the broader corridor.

Managing Director Luke Cox says that Caprice is entering a “transformational phase” for the broader Murchison ground package.

“The scale of this ~50,000 metre program reflects our confidence in the emerging high-grade gold system at Vadrians and the broader potential of the Island Gold Project and surrounding tenure,” Cox says.

“With multiple rigs spinning and a strong pipeline of targets, we are well positioned to deliver consistent news flow while rapidly advancing towards defining a significant gold resource in the Murchison.”

Caprice Resources is an Australian gold and base metals exploration company focused on new mineral discoveries.
