BUMA x PKP

BUMA kicks off coal production at PKP

BUMA International Group’s (IDX:DOID) principal subsidiary Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) has begun coal production at the PKP mine with its $1.13 billion mining services agreement.

The company signed with Singaraja Putra’s (IDX:SINI) subsidiary, Persada Kapuas Prima (PKP) in August last year to conduct a full scope of mining services at the PKP mine to overburden removal and coal extraction.

The nine year contract projects the PKP mine site to produce more than 359.33 million bank cubic meters of overburden and 60 million tonnes of coal.

Vice President Director Nanang Rizal Achyar says the development of work at the mine site represents a new milestone in its long-term partnership with PKP.

“This collaboration reflects BUMA’s continued focus in Indonesia, where our core expertise as a mining operator goes hand in hand with creating value for our partners, people, and the communities surrounding our operations,” Achyar says.

Located in Central Kalimantan, BUMA’s involvement with the PKP mine site reflects on its ongoing commitment to advancing Indonesia’s mining industry.

BUMA has been present in the mining industry for over 26 years with services ranging from mine planning and overburden removal to transportation and rehabilitation using an integrated, end-to-end approach.
