Brixton Metals (TSX-V:BBB) is planning to conduct further drilling at the Trapper Gold target within the Thorn Project in British Columbia, Canada after receiving results from a drilling campaign completed this season.
CEO Gary Thompson says further drilling is required on the faulted and dislocated blocks.
“Further structural interpretation is planned prior to the next drill campaign,” Thompson says.
A total of 30 holes for 6,272m of drilling was undertaken at the Trapper target. Drilling extended mineralisation by 36m to the south-southwest from previous drilling where it remains open.
Some of the results include 6.40m @ 4.61 grams per tonne gold from 27.10m, including 1.5m @ 14.3g/t gold; and 15m @ 2.26g/t gold from 16m.
Thompson adds that mineralisation at Trapper is structurally controlled and was subjected to post mineral displacement.
“Gold mineralisation remains open to the northeast, southeast and north of the main area,” he says.
Assays are pending for 18 holes, with visible gold having been identified in several of these holes.
The Thorn Project hosts a district-scale, Triassic to Eocene, volcano-plutonic complex with several styles of mineralisation related to porphyry and epithermal environments. The project covers 2,945km2 located northeast of Juneau, Alaska.
Brixton Metals is a Canadian explorer focused on advancing its four exploration projects considered prospective for copper, cobalt, gold, silver, molybdenum, and nickel.
