Canadian explorer Brixton Metals (TSX-V:BBB) has drilled into high-grade gold up to 57.20 grams per tonne at the Trapper target, part of its flagship Thorn Project in British Columbia’s prolific Golden Triangle region.
Additional results from a 6,272m, 30-hole program returned a top hit of 22.15m @ 4.44g/t gold from 203.85m, including 1.50m @ 57.20g/t gold from 223m in hole THN25-345.
Hole THN25-342 showed 4m @ 2.22g/t gold from 210m, including 0.35m @ 13.95g/t gold from 212.35m; while hole THN25-340 returned an interval of 30.85m @ 1.47g/t gold and 4.32g/t silver from 61.65m, including 3.10m @ 4.75g/t gold and 16.01g/t silver from 61.65m and 6m @ 4.24g/t gold and 7.90g/t silver from 80m.
Drill holes THN25-342 and THN25-345 were designed to infill and further delineate the trend of high-grade gold mineralisation previously intersected in hole THN22-205, which returned 64m averaging 5.74g/t gold.
Hole THN25-340 intersected gold and silver mineralisation from shallow depths, associated with feldspar porphyry dykes.
This geological relationship, first recognised during the 2025 drilling campaign, has expanded the known footprint of gold mineralisation eastward beyond previously defined limits.
CEO Gary Thompson says the latest results continue to underscore the “exceptional potential” of this emerging gold system.
“The intercept of 22.15 metres grading 4.44g/t gold, including a high-grade interval of 1.50 metres at 57.20g/t gold, is particularly encouraging and speaks to the robust mineralisation we’re seeing at depth,” he says.
Thompson adds that collectively the recent drill results reinforce Brixton’s confidence in the scale and continuity of the Trapper zone.
“With assays still pending and the zone remaining open for expansion, we believe we are only beginning to uncover the full extent of this exciting target,” he says.
A 4km gold in soils anomaly outlines the Trapper gold target, where drilling has been focused on the central and southeast areas.
The broader 2,945km2 Thorn copper-gold-silver-molybdenum project is a “district-scale” project hosting several styles of mineralisation related to porphyry and epithermal environments.
