Brixton Metals (TSX-V:BBB) has extended mineralisation 20m west at the Glenfiddich Zone within its Thorn Project in British Columbia, Canada.
Step-out drilling returned 14.75m @ 1.25% copper (Cu), 1.71 grams per tonne gold (Au), and 149.0g/t silver (Ag) from 84.25m.
Intersection from hole THN26-372 includes a higher-grade section of 1.50m @ 8.33% Cu, 11.30g/t Au, and 971.0g/t Ag from 90.00m.
A second interval in the same hole returned 6.12m at 0.48% Cu, 0.45g/t Au, and 56.21g/t Ag from 53.38m, including 1.00m at 2.24% Cu, 1.22g/t Au, and 249.0g/t Ag.
Drilled 28m northwest of hole THN25-322, the hole previously intersected 16.00m at 3.40g/t Au, 96.08g/t Ag, and 0.59% Cu.
The mineralisation comprises quartz-breccia with sulphosalts, sphalerite and galena, with trace bornite and covellite, hosted within a sericite-pyrite altered diorite porphyry.
“Current drilling is targeting the down-dip and strike extension of this zone to inform and update the 2014 mineral resource estimate, along with other near-surface vein-breccia mineralisation within the Camp Creek Corridor,” CEO Gary Thompson says.
The company has completed seven holes totalling 1,736.5m at the target, with assays pending for the remaining holes. A second hole from THN26-371 was drilled to 150m depth, awaiting results.
Drilling aims to expand the northeast-trending mineralisation identified in previous drilling to update the 2014 MRE. The Glenfiddich Zone remains open along strike and down-dip.
The Thorn Project covers an underexplored copper-gold porphyry district in northwest British Columbia with several large-scale exploration target areas identified.
Brixton Metals is a Canadian exploration company advancing the Thorn copper-gold-silver project in British Columbia, with additional projects in Montana and Ontario, including the Hog Heaven Project optioned to Ivanhoe Electric (NYSE:IE).
