Boreal Gold (CSE:BGLD) has reported ‘high-grade’ gold intersections from its phase four winter drilling program at the North Star Gold Project in Manitoba, Canada.
Hole GR-26-149 at the Gold Rock Vein returned 15.54 grams per tonne gold (Au) over 2.41m from 85.17m to 87.58m, including 81.5g/t Au over 0.41m.
Hole GR-26-150 returned 1.61g/t Au over 1.27m from 103.7m to 104.97m, including 10.45g/t Au over 0.17m.
The company completed 10 HQ drill holes totalling 1,326m during the winter and spring program on the Gold Rock Quartz Shear Zone. Every hole intersected the shear zone with strong alteration.
CEO Richard Masson says the program continues to return ‘high-grade’ gold from the Gold Rock Vein structure.
“Management is very pleased with the results of this program, in that high-grade gold is still being intersected and the shear zone and alteration remain robust and [are] still growing at depth,” Masson says.
The company notes that 153 drill holes have now been completed into the Gold Rock Vein structure. Boreal plans to commission a new NI 43-101 resource estimate for the vein, which has not been updated since drilling began in 2008.
The North Star Property Group consists of three contiguous properties covering 2,922 hectares, located approximately 36km west of Snow Lake, Manitoba.
The North Star and Gold Rock deposits sit along the same 2.5km structure, approximately 1km apart.
Boreal Gold will now focus exploration on the Fay Lake Property in Flin Flon, Manitoba. The company has planned a 1,000m drill program targeting the Redwin volcanic massive sulphide horizon and ‘high-grade’ gold quartz veins.
