Blue Moon advances Nussir towards 2027 production

Blue Moon Metals (TSX-V:MOON) has awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction contract to MOMEK Services AS for the processing plant at its Nussir CopperSilverGold Project in Norway.

MOMEK has been tasked to handle the civil, structural, mechanical, and piping scope, which includes detailed design, building construction, equipment foundations, and the installation of company-supplied equipment.

Blue Moon has also secured approval for its waste management plan and procured an updated discharge permit from the Norwegian Environment Agency.

The company adds that the Norwegian Directorate of Mines also approved the updated mine operating plan on 18 June.

CEO Christian Kargl-Simard describes these developments as “key milestones” for Nussir.

“With our permitting framework now complete, our long-lead equipment on order, our mine decline advancing to the orebody, and our key construction contracts in place, we are on track to deliver production later in 2027,” Kargl-Simard says.

Underground development at Nussir has surpassed 2,000m, with more than 1,000m completed since January.

Workers have completed the conveyor tunnel linking the decline to the orebody and the silo tunnel that feeds the mill, allowing construction of the ore conveyor system to begin.

The company notes the project holds all material permits for construction and operation, aligning with the execution plan from the company’s April Feasibility Study to move toward full-scale construction and production in Q4 2027.

Blue Moon Metals is a Canadian explorer advancing five brownfield polymetallic projects across Norway and the US.
