Black Cat sinks claws into Auric’s ore

Auric Mining (ASX:AWJ) has signed a ore purchase agreement with Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8), in which up to 125,000 tonnes of ore will be processed at the Lakewood Mill in Western Australia.

Ore processing will be conducted in campaigns, with the first parcel expected to begin in October and be completed by the end of January 2026.

Both companies expected another one or two parcels will be processed between November 2025 and January 2026.

The ore comes from the Starter Pit, as part of the Munda Gold Mine in Western Australia. Munda resources are estimated at 3.65 million tonnes containing 145,000 ounces of gold at a 0.5 grams per tonne gold cut-off grade.

Black Cat Managing Director Gareth Solly says this agreement ensures that Lakewood generates gold and profits for the company, while the new mines are brought online.

“The Fingals and Majestic ramp up is progressing as planned on an accelerated timeframe,” Solly says.

“This is a win-win for both Auric and Black Cat and leads to more gold, sooner.”

Meanwhile, Auric Managing Director Mark English says this is the final missing piece to enable the company to finish mining, processing, and sale of all gold from the 2025 Starter Pit.

“Executing this agreement with Black Cat to process the Munda ore at their Lakewood Mill, just 100km away is a fantastic result for us,” English says.

Once the Starter Pit is completed, Auric plans to complete detailed planning and scoping work for the Munda Main Pit. The company anticipates beginning this work in Q2 2026.

Auric Mining is a gold-focused mining company with assets located across Western Australia.

Black Cat Syndicate is focused on becoming a Western Australian gold producer with 4,890km2 of highly prospective tenements.

Black Cat will also be attending the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, held between 23-25 July, at the Peppers Noosa Resort. Mining.com.au is an official media partner of this year’s conference.
