Black Canyon upgrades Wandanya manganese & uncovers iron value

Black Canyon’s (ASX:BCA) sleeper hit is wide awake.

Fresh pilot-scale test work has strengthened the case for producing a ‘premium’ manganese concentrate from the Wandanya Project in Western Australia, while iron results add another layer to the story.

🔑 Key themes include:

  •  Pilot test work: Manganese upgrades to ‘premium’ grades
  • Strong recoveries: Around 80% manganese recovered
  • Iron value: Hard, high-lump material stands out
  • Drilling milestone: 17,200m completed
  • Growth runway: Another 4.8km remains to be tested

With resource drilling wrapped up, Black Canyon is moving towards a maiden mineral resource estimate and Scoping Study while preparing to test the remaining strike.

About the guest and company:
Brendan Cummins is the managing director of Black Canyon, a Western Australian manganese developer and explorer advancing the ‘high-grade’ Wandanya Manganese and Iron Project in the Pilbara. The company also holds a broader portfolio across the Balfour Manganese Field and Oakover Basin, including the KR1 and KR2 deposits.

🎥 Watch the full interview to see why lump, grade, and scale are putting Wandanya firmly on the radar.
