Big Gold (CSE:BG) is advancing exploration plans at its Martin Kenty and Tabor projects in Ontario, positioning itself within two active gold districts that are attracting investment.
The company is currently compiling historical and recent datasets, including a 2021 versatile time domain electromagnetic survey, to refine priority exploration targets for its planned 2026 program.
Big Gold recently completed a flow-through financing to fund its upcoming field activities across both projects.
CEO Scott Walters says the strategic positioning comes amid developments near both projects.
“We are seeing a clear influx of capital and strategic consolidation in the immediate vicinity of both of our projects, and we are moving aggressively to advance our 2026 exploration plans to capitalise on that momentum,” Walters says.
The company highlights two recent transactions underscoring the regions’ growing importance, including a C$115.9 million ($121.06 million) strategic financing in Gold X2 Mining (TSX-V:AUXX) led by AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE:AU) for the adjacent Moss Gold Project, and Seva Mining’s acquisition of the Cameron Gold Project from First Mining Gold (TSX:FF).
The Moss Gold Project hosts approximately 2.46 million ounces of gold in the indicated category and 4.21 million ounces in the inferred category.
At Martin Kenty, located in the Cameron Lake Gold Belt, historical exploration identified multiple gold occurrences including grab samples up to 8.37 grams per tonne gold. Mineralisation is associated with felsic intrusions and sheared, altered sericitic pyritic schists.
