BHP contract launches RocketDNA

Drone-based services provider RocketDNA (ASX:RKT) has received $1 million in additional purchase orders from BHP Mitsubishi Alliance, for the operation of six dual SurveyBot units.

The operation of these SurveyBot units will be from 1 January to 30 June 2026.

All purchase orders involve the operation of RocketDNA’s xBot platform, supported by SiteTube software integration to deliver real-time geospatial data for mine planning, geology, and environmental teams.

The company’s xBot involves perimeter monitoring, frequent surveying and mapping. The automated drone docking solution ensures faster and more efficient operations with real-time insight.

BHP Mitsubishi Alliance is a 50:50 joint venture between mining giant BHP (ASX:BHP) and Mitsubishi (TYO:8058) that has been operating since 2001. The alliance is considered the largest exporter of steelmaking coal in the world, with its five operational metallurgical coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.

RocketDNA is focused on providing contract mining services, while also providing scalable geo-data and artificial intelligence solutions using automated data capture and onsite services.
