Axel REE (ASX:AXL) has begun trading its shares on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE) under the ticker code HN8, as part of its dual listing strategy.
The dual listing is intended to enhance Axel’s visibility and accessibility to European investors, particularly given growing interest across the region for critical and strategic minerals, including rare earths and gallium – commodities central to the company’s Brazilian project portfolio.
Further, Axel also intends to pursue a quotation on the OTC Markets in the US. The OTC listing is expected to further broaden the company’s investor base and support increased liquidity by allowing North American investors to more easily trade its shares.
This news comes after Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) US$500 million deal with MP Materials and the US Department of Defense pledging similar-sized support to strengthen non-Chinese rare earth magnet supply chains.
Non-executive Chairman Paul Dickson says the dual listing positions the company at the intersection of two major global trends.
“Europe’s gallium resurgence and the strategic push to diversify rare earth supply beyond China,” Dickson says.
“Our OTC market aspiration will assist Axle in establishing a global shareholder footprint that aligns with our mission to supply essential technology metals from sustainable, geopolitically independent sources.”
Axel REE is a mineral explorer focused on its four rare earths projects in Brazil.
