Ausenco-led study to deliver comprehensive outcomes for Legacy

Legacy Minerals (ASX:LGM) has announced it will release the stage two Scoping Study for its Mt Carrington Gold-Silver Project in New South Wales in the first week of May 2026.

The Scoping Study has been led by Ausenco, whose established methodology and technical standards provide a rigorous technical and economic evaluation.

Legacy notes that the study has taken slightly longer than anticipated, but the additional time has enabled the companies to broaden their review to include a greater range of key components that could improve the project’s economic and operational profile.

The company is supportive of the rigour Ausenco has applied to the study and believes that the broadened scope will deliver a more comprehensive outcome for shareholders.

Managing Director Christopher Byrne says that Ausenco’s comprehensive approach is “critical to ensuring confidence in the outcomes for the project”.

“While completion has taken longer than originally planned, the additional time has enabled the team to broaden and deepen the review across key components that we believe have the potential to enhance the project’s economic and operational profile, including power delivery options, refinements to the existing infrastructure utilisation, and improvements to smelter payability terms,” Byrne says.

“With final integration and review nearing completion, we look forward to releasing the study to the market in the first week of May 2026 and thank shareholders for their patience and support as we deliver this significant milestone for the company.”

Legacy Minerals is a gold, silver, copper, and base metals explorer focused on discoveries in New South Wales.
