Aurumin solidifies Sandstone footprint with more tenements

Aurumin (ASX:AUN) has been granted 3 tenements — E57/1294, E57/1302 and E57/1371 — that have minimal exploration completed to date at its Sandstone Project in Western Australia.

The Western Australian explorer is currently continuing the process of compiling and validating data for the project areas, including data sourced from open file reports from the historical Troy Resources Database inherited as part of the Sandstone project acquisition.

Aurumin plans to begin on-ground exploration activities shortly.

Managing Director Brad Valiukas says with these granted tenements, the company has solidified its footprint in the Sandstone region.

“These are good, prospective additions to our exploration ground, including directly adjacent to Aurmin’s existing mining tenements.

The company is narrowing its focus to the Sandstone region, following the divestment of Karramindie and with 2 divestments in progress at Mt Dimer. We remain committed to generating critical mass for future production at Sandstone.”

E57/1294 adjoins its Central Sandstone mining tenements to the north-east and contains the Hacks Creek Structure running north-north-west through the length of the tenement.

While E57/1302 and E57/1371 further consolidate the greenstone trend that hosts the Bellchambers, Bulchina and Golden Raven mineralisation.

The company notes E57/1371 contains the historical Muriel Chapman mine which was worked in the early 1900’s and reported 106 tonnes @ 15.1 grams per tonne (g/t) for 51.5 ounces.

Aurumin is a gold-focused Western Australian explorer and developer. The company is focused on its Sandstone project which comprises an 881,300 ounce gold mineral resource, as well as its Southern Cross operations which hosts the Mt Dimer and Mt Palmer projects.

As of 30 September 2023, the company had $1.093 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
