Aurum extends BDT2 gold beyond resource

Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) has intersected gold mineralisation outside the current resource boundary at the BDT2 deposit within its Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.

Final results from the current BDT2 campaign comprise 10 diamond holes totalling 3,565m. The holes were drilled on 100m line spacing to test the deposit along strike and at depth.

Results include 39m @ 0.79 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) from 372m in DSDD0461, including 3m @ 5.76g/t Au.

Other intersections include 0.61m @ 47.60g/t Au from 189.39m in DSDD0477 and 4.46m @ 4.23g/t Au from 90m in DSDD0471, including 0.50m @ 35.19g/t Au.

Drilling also returned 3m @ 4.02g/t Au from 124m in DSDD0483, including 2.30m @ 5.16g/t Au, and 15m @ 0.73g/t Au from 116m in DSDD0486, including 1m @ 4.20g/t Au.

The reported intervals are downhole lengths, with true widths estimated at 60–85%. Aurum applied a 0.2g/t Au cut-off grade, allowed up to 3m of consecutive internal dilution, and applied no top cut.

The deposit lies within a 13km-by-3km mineralised corridor and is hosted by a north–south-trending sandstone unit between hanging-wall and footwall volcano-sedimentary rocks.

Managing Director Caigen Wang says the results will be incorporated into the next Boundiali mineral resource estimate (MRE), targeted for the end of Q3 2026.

“This final batch of step-out drilling has pushed mineralisation beyond the current resource envelope and confirmed the system remains open at depth and highlights both grade and scale potential in areas previously untested,” Wang says.

Boundiali hosts an MRE of 3.22 million ounces (Moz) Au. Aurum says it has budgeted 100,000m of drilling at the project during 2026 as part of a wider 130,000m program that includes 30,000m at its 1.16Moz Napié Gold Project.

Follow-up drilling is being planned for the mineralisation outside the BDT2 resource, while rigs have moved to deposits on the neighbouring BST and BM tenements.
