Auric gains greater control of Munda

Auric Mining (ASX:AWJ) has gained greater control of the Munda Gold Mine in Western Australia, after finalising an acquisition of WIN Metals (ASX:WIN) nickel and associated minerals rights assets.

The company now owns all mineral rights at Munda, except lithium. The lithium mineral rights remain with WIN.

WIN received payment of $900,000 on 30 June 2025, with a final amount of $500,000 to be paid on 30 November 2025.

Auric Managing Director Mark English says completing the acquisition simplifies open pit mining at the Munda Gold Mine.

“Mining at Munda is proceeding according to plan,” English says.

“The mining camp has been a great benefit to us and assisted greatly in housing the mining team, located just 6km north of our mine.”

WIN CEO Steve Norregaard says concluding this deal will provide funding towards the work programs at the Butchers Creek Gold Project and newly acquired Radio Gold Mine.

“With this transaction WIN preserves the lion’s share of nickel at Mt Edwards whilst meeting key objectives for both parties,” Norregaard says.

“For WIN it realises latent value and allows Auric a clear pathway forward to develop its Munda Gold Project. This is another example of successful collaboration between parties to achieve a win-win outcome for our respective businesses.”

WIN Metals is a mineral developer which holds 340km2 of granted tenure in the Southern Goldfields and Kimberley regions of Western Australia.

Auric Mining is a gold producer focused on its portfolio of assets in the Goldfields of Western Australia.
