Aurelia Metals gears up to resume underground activities at Federation Project, New South Wales

Aurelia Metals (ASX:AMI) is expecting to progress its underground development activities in early August 2023 at the Federation Project in New South Wales. 

In the company’s latest quarterly report, Aurelia says equipment has already arrived on site to allow decline development mining to resume. 

The $161.73 million market capitalisation company says submissions for second approvals required under the project’s development consent were ‘well-advanced’ at the end of the June quarter. 

Ahead of the company’s presentation tomorrow (Friday 21 July 2023) at the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, Aurelia Metals’ new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director, Bryan Quinn, says: “With the business now fully funded for development of the premier Federation Project, followed by copper-rich Great Cobar, we are now in a strong position to deliver these projects for our shareholders while we continue to focus on actions needed to make a step change in performance at Peak.

Aurelia also notes that there have been 0 recordable injuries for the first half of this year. 

On 30 June 2023, the company had $38.9 million cash at hand, excluding restricted cash of $56.8 million.
