Aureka eyes Irvine gold mineralisation

Aureka (ASX:AKA) has returned drilling results from its flagship Irvine Project in the Stawell Gold Corridor of Western Victoria.

Intersections include 0.75m @ 10.2 grams per tonne gold from 427.5m and 1.15m @ 9.73g/t gold from 434m from hole RD049. The intercepts were uncovered in a wide zone of 18.4m @ 1.54g/t gold from 425.8.

Aureka says the interval of gold mineralisation at 18.4m @ 1.54g/t gold indicates additional support for continued mineralisation along strike at the Tenacity Hanging Wall fault.

Hole RD049 was drilled over November and December 2025. Drilling was intended to target further along strike extensions.

Managing Director James Gurry says the width of these intersections from hole RD049 is “pleasing to see given the high-grade components within”.

“It further speaks the potential for the Irvine Project and its Resolution lode to be amenable to mining, these results at depths of 400m depth are within a broader Resolution lode that starts from surface,” Gurry says.

“After nearly 7,000m of diamond drilling across the portfolio in 2025, and most of it focused on Irvine Project, it is great to start the year with further high-grade results outside of the current JORC resource.”

Exploration Manager Jozef Story says the gold intercepts demonstrate the importance of establishing the geological understanding of Irvine, which enables “the geology to continue with identifying quality targeting opportunities and steadily work towards increasing the current 304,000 ounces of already defined JORC resources”.

Aureka is an Australian gold explorer focused on uncovering discoveries in Victoria.

The company is attending the RIU Explorers Conference in Fremantle, Western Australia, held from 17-19 February 2026.
