Aureka (ASX:AKA) has announced ‘high-grade’ gold assays with additional silver mineralisation along strike at the St Arnaud Comstock project in Central Western Victoria.
The results are for two holes drilled in 2025 as part of the company’s 2,253 diamond drilling program.
Diamond hole 25NED004 intersected significant zones of gold and silver mineralisation, recording the ‘highest-grade’ silver from the project to date, at 0.3m @ 650 grams per tonne silver and 1.91g/t gold from 192m.
Within hole 25NED007, visible gold mineralisation was reported in December 2025, with the resulting assays returning 0.3m @ 31.5g/t gold from 127m.
Both of the new intercepts are within the defined exploration target area and outside of the maiden 56,000 ounce resource that was reported in June 2025. These new results support the exploration upside and potential to grow the resource.
Managing Director James Gurry notes that the company is pleased with the growth at St Arnaud Comstock.
“It is great to see the St Arnaud Comstock growing on multiple fronts, to the north as reported in November, to the west as reported in December, and now growing in metal diversity with high grade silver intercepts,” Gurry says.
“This growth is taking shape at a time when the company is actively progressing commercialisation options for Comstock.”
The St Arnaud Comstock pit is a historic mine site, with last production in 1995. It lies within the St Arnaud region that has historically produced 400,000 ounces of gold at 15g/t, with associated silver production alongside.
Aureka is focused on a portfolio of advanced stage, ‘high-grade’ gold projects across Victoria, Australia.
