Aureka (ASX:AKA) is continuing to grow its gold inventory across the Irvine and Tandarra projects in Victoria, as part of its ongoing diamond drilling programs.
At Irvine, drilling is aiming to test the down-plunge extension of the Resolution shoot. Initial results have confirmed mineralisation of the inferred resource.
The results include 1.18m @ 4.05 grams per tonne gold from 703.65m and 1m @ 3.57g/t gold from 761.82m.
At the Lawry prospect within the Tandarra Project, results continue to demonstrate a consistent and highly prospective mineralised system. The results also confirm the down-plunge gold fertility at Lawry, extending 430m on strike.
Some of the results include 1m @ 2.4g/t gold from 137.8m and 1m @ 5g/t gold from 154.6m.
The results also confirm the Lawry strike extension, which remains open north and south and to the end of drillhole depth.
Managing Director James Gurry says while drilling is ongoing, the company has already identified new areas of mineralisation on the west flank of the basalt and now the likely extension to the Resolution shoot.
“We look forward to seeing the results of the wedge hole and potential success in targeting higher grades up dip with the current drillhole RD046, presently in progress,” Gurry says.
“The Tandarra drilling results confirm that, across all three known mineralised zones, Tandarra is a highly prospective system and one of our most strategic and valuable assets in the Aureka portfolio.”
Over H2 2025, the company will continue drilling across its project portfolio and new targets to position its assets for future development.
The Tandarra Gold Project is a joint venture between Aureka and Catalyst Metals (ASX:CYL). The project sits along the Whitelaw Gold Corridor, which extends for 13km along the Whitelaw and Tandarra Faults north of Bendigo and is considered a major structural control of gold mineralisation.
The Irvine Project, located in Western Victoria, sits in the Stawell Gold Corridor which is a region with a rich history of gold production. The project has a resource of 304,000 ounces @ 2.43g/t gold, with an additional exploration target of between 280,000 to 420,000 ounces @ 2 to 3g/t gold.
Aureka will be attending the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, held between 23-25 July, at the Peppers Noosa Resort. Mining.com.au is an official media partner of this year’s conference.
