Athena Gold progresses activities across project portfolio

Athena Gold (CSE:ATHA) is progressing numerous activities across its project portfolio in Ontario, Canada, including at the Laird Lake, Forester, and Oneman Lake projects, as well as the Excelsior Springs Project in Nevada.

At Laird Lake, drilling remains ongoing with hole LL-26-008 designed to test the Rigby and Pit zones at depth. Assays are pending for six holes and are expected in early Q3 2026.

A strategic follow-up hole (LL-26-006) was recently completed, which was designed to test the G4 anomaly from a different angle, as well as test the Pit zone at depth.

The company reports the hole intersected a 50m-wide section of locally mineralised mafic metavolcanics with abundant quartz veining near the top of the hole, similar to what was observed in hole LL-26-005.

Meanwhile, hole LL-26-007 was designed to test the newly discovered Rigby showing, as well as the Balmer-Confederation contact. The hole intersected highly silicified volcanic rocks with local smokey quartz-pyrite veins which are interpreted as the extension of the Rigby showing and locally mineralised mafic volcanic rocks near the bottom of the hole.

At the Forester Project, an upcoming field season is expected to begin, comprising airborne geophysics, light detection and ranging (LiDAR) surveying, and boots-on-the-ground prospecting.

Athena Gold has engaged SkyTEM to fly a high-resolution airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey. The survey is anticipated to provide deep-penetrating sub-surface structural data to map conductive iron formations and delineate key lithological contacts under cover.

Following a strategic review of Athena Gold’s portfolio and the prioritisation of the Forester Project, the company has elected to allow the Oneman Lake claims to lapse to focus its capital and technical resources on higher priority assets.

In Nevada

Athena Gold’s option partner Mammoth Minerals (ASX:M79) is continuing to make progress pursuant to an option agreement to earn an 80% interest in the Excelsior Springs Project in Nevada.

Recent reverse circulation drilling has expanded the mineralised corridor at the Buster Trend, which extends over 7km of prospective strike.

Geological modelling is underway, with Mammoth Minerals targeting delivery of a maiden resource estimate and an exploration target for the Buster Trend in Q3 2026.

Athena Gold is a mineral explorer focused on acquiring mineral properties prospective for precious and base metals.
