The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has aligned with sectors at market open today (10 July), jumping 50.60 points to a total of 8,589.2 points at 10.30am (AEST).
The S&P/ASX200 has driven all sectors higher, including the materials sector which has seen a 0.32% increase overnight.
West African Resources (ASX:WAF) has seen a 4.44% increase in value this morning, boosting its share price to $2.35, after a change in substantial holding.
Regis Resources (ASX:RRL), which has a market capitalisation of $3.24 billion, is following closely behind, increasing 3.95% to a share price of $4.47.

On the downfall, lithium producer PLS (ASX:PLS) has dropped by 1.33%, now trading at $1.48 per share on the tail of no news.
The S&P/ASX200 is Australia’s leading share market index and contains the top 200 ASX-listed companies in terms of market capitalisation, and accounts for about 80% of the country’s equity market. The index is designed to measure the performance of the 200 largest index-eligible stocks listed on the ASX by float-adjusted market capitalisation.
It is recognised as the institutional investable benchmark in the country.
